Abstract 228,844. Hansen, K. Feb. 9, 1924, [Convention date]. Filtering-media.-Porous celluloid for use as a filtering-medium is obtained by mixing a thick solution of celluloid with a powder, such as zinc, magnesium, or marble, which is soluble in acid but insoluble in the solution, forming the mixture to shape, drying, dissolving out the powder with muriatic acid or other acid, washing, and drying.
