Improvements in transporting or protecting devices for sparking plugs
Abstract
Abstract 225,154. Beru Akt.-Ges. April 4, 1924, [Convention date]. Fittings, internal.-A protective casing for sparking-plugs comprises a hollow mass of resilient material adapted to grip portions of the plug without substantial deformation of its outer surface. As shown, a cylindrical rubber or other resilient casing a is slit at the top to allow access to the interior, and the nut c, the shank b, and the screw thread d of the plug are gripped by the casing so as to allow a free space for the electrodes e, f. A casing may be constructed to receive a number of plugs, or may enclose only the parts b, f.
