Improvements in the Construction of Lubricators.
Abstract
Abstract 26,218. Brown, C. Nov. 20. Lubricators. - A lubricator for cycles &c. is provided with a cover consisting of a strip of spring steel A bent into V-sbape, as shown in Fig. 2. One end is bent into an eye and engages a pivot a<6>. The back of the cover bears on the wall of the lubricator, and acts as a spring to hold the cover in the open and closed positions. Fig. 9 shows a modification in which the end of the strip is coiled to form the pivot pin. In another modification, the strip has two bent perforated ears through which the pivot pin passes. Instead of being in one piece, the cover may be in two parts connected at the end a<8> by a rivet.
