Abstract 18,069. Jordan, W., [Hogan Boiler Co.]. Aug. 3. Manholes doors and frames for steam boilers and the like. The joint is made up of a flexible undivided metallic ring E interposed between the conical surfaces of the boiler plate and the cover D respectively. The cover is inserted through slots c<1> as shown in Fig. 2. A cylindrical neck C may be constructed in the frame A in order to form an abutment for the packing-ring, thereby keeping it in place.
