Abstract 1535060 Intubation guide J LIBAN and S LIBAN 23 Dec 1975 52661/75 Heading A5R An intubation guide comprises an L-section handle 1 and a curved tubular guide part 2 formed with a longitudinally extending slit 3, the end of the guide part having a curved edge 5 formed with an external bead 6 for contacting the epiglottis and an internal depression having a shape and depth corresponding to the epiglottis. Holes 4 allow saliva to lubricate the guide. The guide may be used to connect the two ear tubes of a stethoscope, one tube being connected to the handle 1 and the other to a blade pivoted to the guide part 2.
