Abstract 1511557 Catheters L S MONGA 27 Sept 1976 [1 July 1975] 27673/75 Heading A5R A catheter comprises a flexible tube 1 having a balloon 6 attached thereto near its tip, the balloon in its deflated condition being housed within the catheter and inflated by applying fluid under pressure through the interior of the tube. A further balloon 2 enclosed within balloon 6 may be provided and inflated through a capillary channel extending along the tube. A cord or thread 7 may be attached to the interior of the balloon 6 and extend through the tube 1 to the exterior thereof.
