Improvements in electric contact plugs and sockets
Abstract
Abstract 147,599. Ruthen, W. aus den. Aug. 8, 1918, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Two-part couplings. - The member, Fig. 2, answering to the plug has projecting contact parts b in the form of pins with enlarged heads, which have to be put through holes f in the socket member, Figs. 3 and 4, and then turned until they snap into stationary contact springs i. Arcshaped slots g are formed in continuity with the holes f to allow the pins to pass. In order to remove the plug member, it must first be turned so that the circuit is broken. A register pin c and a corresponding register hole h are provided on the two parts of the coupling. The registering parts may be shaped and marked in different ways in order to appropriate each coupling member to a destined use.
