Abstract 1327858 Balloon catheters EUROMEDICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 July 1972 [22 July 1971] 34394/71 Heading A5R A balloon catheter in which the balloon has a plurality of reinforcement lines or zones which are all parallel to or extend in planes radial to the axis of the catheter main tube is made by, either forming the balloon separately on a longitudinally inlobed mandrel by dipping in liquid latex and then applying the balloon to a catheter tube and balloon distension tube to further latex dipping; or, by applying a ribbed tubular former of over the catheter main tube and dipping the assembly in liquid latex.
