Abstract
Abstract The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1015787/C2/1> wherein X is a carboxylic ester, dialkylamide or hydroxymethyl group, and their preparation by (a) esterification or reduction of the corresponding carboxylic acid or (b) reaction of tri-(p - methoxyphenyl) - ethylene with an alkyl lithium and N,N-dimethylchloroformamide. The compounds of the invention have estrogenic activity and may be administered in pharmaceutical preparations for oral use, such as tablets, capsules and dragees.
