Resorbable fastening screw, esp. for ligamentoplasty
Abstract
Abstract The screw (1) has a thread (1b) extending along its whole length. It has apertures in both ends, one in its tip to receive a guide rod (2), and one in its head for a drive tool (3). The aperture (1a2) in the head of the screw is inscribed within a circle and has two pairs of opposite flat surfaces. The flat surfaces in each pair lie at an obtuse angle to one another and at some 15 degrees to the vertical. The screw's thread has rounded outer and inner surfaces. At its conical tip, the bases of the thread grooves lie at an angle of 45 degrees to the axis of the screw. At the head end the groove, the bases form an angle of 20 degrees.
