Conveyor chain link

Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a conveyor chain link intended to convey objects placed on its surface by displacement of the chain along a guide path. According to the present invention the link 1 of the chain comprises means 5 which allow it to absorb, without friction, the relative displacements of the supported objects. In particular, the means 5 have a contact surface 6 with the transported object which is mobile and capable of following the relative movements of the said object. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the latter are in the form of a ball 6 which is mobile in rotation, disposed in the upper part of the link 1. The invention will be applied particularly in the field of goods handling and in particular in industry for the conveying of mass- produced objects between the various work stations.
