Abstract

Abstract The device comprises a planar element (1) which has two spherical depressions (3) housing spherical joints (4). Bone fixing pins (2) pass axially through these joints and can be set at the required angle. A frusto-conical nut (5) locks each joint in its set position. A stub shaft (1a,1b) extends from each end of the plate so that two or more similar devices can be connected together if several bone fragments are to be fixed. The devices are joined by articulated joints so the bone pins can be set at any angle.
