Fib-protected semiconductor chip

Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a semiconductor chip wherein a strip conductor structure is linked with a dielectric that is capable of producing, by the introduction of ions, a conductivity that is sufficient to interconnect the conductors to give a circuit. When such a dielectric is irradiated with ions, its conductivity is increased in such a manner that the electronic circuitry integrated in the chip (1) may detect the electrical connection thereby produced between the conductors (3) next to the dielectric (2). Suitable materials for the inventive semiconductor chip are organic materials with pi electron systems.
