Device for the dosed application of a liquid drug
Abstract
A device for metered administration, in particular infusion, of a medicinal liquid has a container (1) from which the medicinal liquid is displaced in a metered manner through an outlet (4) when a stopper (2) is fed in, and one at the outlet (4) the container (1) connected to the catheter (8), the front end of which is turned away from the outlet (4) is connected or connectable to an administration needle (9). A valve (30) is arranged between the outlet (4) and the administration needle (9) in a flow cross section of the medicinal liquid. To prevent self-emptying, this valve (30) only allows flow to the front end of the catheter (8) if the liquid pressure acting in this direction is greater than a pressure on the valve (30) due to the dead weight of a liquid column in the Contraption.
