Thread for applying a surgical suture, transfer holder and surgical suturing instrument
Abstract
The invention relates to a thread for applying a surgical suture, a transfer holder (30) for the thread and a surgical sewing instrument for applying a surgical suture with the thread. The thread consists of a lower closure part (2) and an upper closure part (3), which are each arranged at the end of a thread section (1). The lower closure part (2) is hollow, so that a needle (120) of a surgical sewing instrument can be used. The transfer holder (30) receives the lower closure part (2) and the upper closure part (3) of the thread. The sewing instrument has two jaws (102, 103), which are made of a resilient material and assume a V-shaped position without the application of force. One (102) of the two jaws is provided with a needle (120) onto which the lower closure part (2) of the thread can be placed.
