Method for obtaining DNA, RNA, peptides, polypeptides or proteins by means of a DNA-recombinant technique
Abstract
Abstract For the production of a set of petides, polypeptides or proteins capable of catalysing a sequence of chemical reactions resulting in the formation of at least one desired compound, a library of genes at least partially consisting of stochastic synthetic polynucleotides is produced, these genes are amplified and a screening is carried out so as to identify a plurality of genes capable of being expressed in the form of a set of peptides, polypeptides or proteins having the desired catalytic capacity defined above. The genetic information thus obtained is then used to produce a set of peptides, polypeptides or proteins having the said catalytic capacity. This set can finally be used for the production of a chemical, possibly new, compound having a given property.
