Abstract
Abstract According to the invention, a large number of depressions 1 are arranged on the surface of the shaft of a cementlessly implantable prosthesis, these depressions being finger-shaped or designed in the manner of blind holes. The bone tissue growing into the depressions guarantees a stable and permanent anchoring of the prosthesis. The blind holes 1 are preferably oriented in such a way that the bone plugs situated in them are loaded under tension or under pressure depending on the desired load transmission. The bone plugs loaded under tension are stimulated in their growth by the tensile force. <IMAGE>
