Filter-catheter combination
Abstract
<IMAGE> The invention relates to a filter (1) for partial and at least temporary interruption of a vein. This filter (1) comprises a pipe (2) made of polytetrafluoroethylene having towards its distal end (2a) longitudinal notches (5) distributed symmetrically on its periphery and delimiting flexible bands (6) and a conduit (3) made of polytetrafluoroethylene inside the pipeline (2); the conduit (3) and the pipe (2) are joined for example by heat sealing by their distal ends (2a, 3a). Preferably a ring (4) in a radiopaque material is included between the distal ends (2a, 3a) during the heat sealing. The flexible bands (6) are deployed transversely by sliding the conduit (3) in the pipeline (2). They underwent a heat-fixing treatment, memorizing in the polymer structure of tetrafluoroethylene the deployed form and / or a helical form. <IMAGE>
