Apparatus for the directional and periodical massage of part of a human body
Abstract
Abstract The directional and periodic massage is guaranteed by means of a set of elastic tubes (20) of low cross-section lining the inner face of a flexible envelope (20). The tubes (20) are arranged parallel with respect to one another and have their upstream ends connected to means (2) for the supply of pressurised gas by way of a distribution collector (12) and their downstream ends connected to a decompression collector (18). The pressurised gas supply is controlled by means of a pressure- reducing means (4), a manometer (6) and a valve (8). As a result of the low cross-section of the tube, the flow rate of the gas creates a pressure gradient along the tube which is transmitted to the part of the body being treated. <IMAGE>
