Abstract
Abstract The pressure infusion apparatus for pushing out a syringe (22) has an absolute displacement transmitter (28), which is connected to the movable holder (25) and delivers to a control device (31) the position data relating to the position of the syringe plunger (24). Using the position data, the motor (11) is regulated in such a way that a desired infusion rate is maintained. The infusion rate can be modified during an infusion procedure in accordance with a programme. Shortly before reaching the empty position, a pre-alarm is given and the drive mechanism is switched off when the empty position is reached. <IMAGE>
