Abstract

Abstract The implant for dental purposes comprises a socket (4) and is provided with self-tapping screw threads, which are screwed into a pilot bore formed in the jaw bone. The socket receives a post (10), which has a stem (13) and is adapted to carry dental suprastructures. The stem (13) of the post is provided at its inner end with male screw threads (16), which have been screwed into female screw threads formed in the socket. In accordance with the invention the crest diameter of the self-tapping screw threads is equal throughout the axial length of said screw threads to the diameter of the socket (4) at its outer end. The self-tapping screw threads are formed on an axially inwardly tapering shank and continuously decrease in depth to zero from the inner end of said self-tapping screw threads to the outer end of the socket (4) or to a point which is spaced 2 to 3 mm from the outer end of said socket.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 15
Claim 1
Independent Claim 60 words
A screw-in, self-cutting bone implant for post anchoring dental supraconstructions, comprising a cylindrical post bearing (4) having a conical core (3) of a self-cutting, angular, high-pitched thread, which is integrally attached thereto, characterized in that the outside diameter of the thread (2) across the length of the core (3) is equal to the diameter of the cylindrical post bearing (4).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 60 words
A screw-in, self-cutting bone implant for post anchoring dental supraconstructions, comprising a cylindrical post bearing (4) having a conical core (3) of a self-cutting, angular, high-pitched thread, which is integrally attached thereto, characterized in that the outside diameter of the thread (2) across the length of the core (3) is equal to the diameter of the cylindrical post bearing (4).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 32 words
Implant as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the depth of the thread (2) from the free end of the core (3) to the post bearing (4) continually reduces to zero.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 34 words
Implant according to Claim 1, characterized in that the depth of the thread (2) from the free end of the core (3) to approximately 3 mm before the post bearing continually reduces to zero.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 69 words
A screw-in, self-cutting bone implant for post anchoring dental supraconstructions, comprising a cylindrical post bearing (4) having a conical core (3) of a self cutting, angular, high-pitched thread (2), which is integrally attached thereto, characterized in that the external diameter of the thread (2), which is at the neck equal to the diameter of the cylindrical post bearing (4), continually reduces towards the free end of the core (3).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 69 words
A screw-in, self-cutting bone implant for post anchoring dental supraconstructions, comprising a cylindrical post bearing (4) having a conical core (3) of a self cutting, angular, high-pitched thread (2), which is integrally attached thereto, characterized in that the external diameter of the thread (2), which is at the neck equal to the diameter of the cylindrical post bearing (4), continually reduces towards the free end of the core (3).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 32 words
Implant as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, for facilitating the self-cutting process, recesses (5) which are offset relative to each other, are provided in the threads (2).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 27 words
Implant as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the core (3) has at its free end one or several inwardly running notches (6).
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 45 words
Implant as claimed in Claim 5, characterized in that the edge (9) of the threads (2), which faces the free edge of the core (3), encompasses together with the core axis (8) an angle of 90 ° , the averse flank (7) an obtuse angle.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 37 words
Implant as claimed in Claim 7, characterized in that the obtuse angle formed by the flank (7) of the threads (2), which faces away from the free core end, and the core axis (8) is approximately 120°.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 32 words
Implant as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that its core (3) has an axial recess (11) for inserting a screw driver, said recess (11) being non circularly defined.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 34 words
Implant as claimed in Claim 9, characterized in that an axial blind thread (12) is arranged at the bottom of the recess (11) into which the post (10) having a shank (13) is screwed.
Claim 13
