Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a heart valve prosthesis in the form of a two-way valve with an essentially tubular valve body (10, 50), which defines at least a first passage opening, and a valve element connected to this body, which valve element, with a change in the direction of the blood pressure, can be moved between a closed position closing the passage opening and an open position freeing it, and, in the closed position, allows the blood to pass to a second passage opening (40). The valve element consists of a flexible tongue (20, 60) which is connected only at its one end area (22) to a circumferential portion of the valve body (10, 50). <IMAGE>
