Method for making a substantially planar construction of resin-impregnated fabric which comprises the steps of (1) coating the fabric with a curable resin, (2) partially curing the resin and (3) fully curing the resin, characterized by, between steps (2) and (3), cutting at least a plurality of the warp of the fabric in at least one location, whereby shrinkage of the construction during step (3) is reduced.
