Claim 8
Dependent Claim 20 words
The immunoassay kit of any one of claims 1 to 4 wherein said solid surface comprises a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 111 words
A method for detecting for the presence of a predetermined biological analyte which comprises the steps of: a) incubating a material to be analyzed with a solid surface having immobilized thereon a first biologically specific substance that will selectively bind to said analyte, said first biologically specific substance being covalently bonded to said surface by a difunctional hydrophilic group having a molecular chain length of from about 10 to about 300 Angstroms; b) incubating said surface with a labelled biologically specific substance that will bind only to said analyte; c) washing said surface after step b); and d) analyzing for the presence of the label on said labelled biologically specific substance.
Claim 10
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 20 words
The process of claim 8 wherein said process comprises an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay, a Radioimmune Assay, or an agglutination assay.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process of claim 8 or claim 9 wherein said hydrophilic group comprises a polyoxyethylene group.
