Abstract
Abstract The present invention provides a composition for repair of periodontal osseous defects based on particulate bioactive and biocompatible glass. The particulate glass has a particle size in the range of 90 to 710 µm, preferably it is a mixture of (1) glass having a particle size of 90 to 355 µm, (2) glass having a particle size of 355 to 500 µm, and (3) glass having a particle size of 500 to 710 µm. The glass composition is as follows:
