Abstract
Abstract The vein stripper (1) for extirpation of varices comprises a flexible, tear-resistant probe (2) which has a pull grip and at whose free end an extirpation head (7) can be secured. The probe provides a continuous hollow channel (34) which opens out in or at the front of the extirpation head (7) secured on the guide probe. Upon insertion of the probe, a solution can be injected into the varices through the hollow channel (34), this solution also facilitating the advance of the probe in the case of difficult varices. For the purpose of stripping the vein, the extirpation head (7) can be arranged secure against tilting. <IMAGE>
