Ultrasonic tomography apparatus
Abstract
The invention relates to an ultrasound tomography device with an ultrasound transmission / reception system (5), which is provided with a rotary drive (20 ') for rotation about an axis of rotation (29). According to the invention, a linear array of several transducer elements (45) is provided as the ultrasound head (70), which is arranged perpendicular to a sectional plane (47) of the examination object (1) and additionally rotatable about its longitudinal axis (49), forming several groups (76) each of jointly controlled transducer elements (45) has a beam aperture and at least one group (78) is provided between two adjacent controlled groups (76) and is switched off. This results in the ultrasound tomography device which scans several parallel cutting planes (47) one after the other or even at least approximately simultaneously without additional mechanical movement.
