Abstract

Ultrasound contrast agent containing microparticles of maltose, dextrose, lactose or galactose and gas bubbles in a liquid carrier, characterized in that the liquid carrier is water, physiological electrolyte solution such as 0.9% sodium chloride solution, Ringer's solution or Tyrode solution or an aqueous solution Solution of maltose represents dextrose, lactose or galactose. The ultrasound contrast medium is excellently suited for the echo of liquid media - especially for ultrasound images of blood-infused tissues.
