Abstract 1. Equipment for storing surgical appliances especially for use in a surgical operating unit comprising an operating room whose walls have no interior storage volumes, characterised in that it comprises a plurality of trolleys (1) which are capable of being disassembled and adapted to receive detachable baskets (5) and a detachable tray (P), a device (20) for assembling said trolleys (1), a device (20) for disassembling said trolleys and a movable trolley carrier (33) adapted to receive elements of a plurality of said disassembled trolleys (1) in adjacent positions so as to have a minimum overall size and at least a fixed support (41) adapted to receive the baskets (5).
