Abstract
Abstract An artifact usable in-vivo in general or buccal surgery of the type in which a metallic armature is covered with a coating layer of a biocompatible compound. The compound is insulating, refractory, amorphous and non porous, and the thickness of the coating layer is between 100 A DEG and 0.5 micron, whereby the coating layer is adapted for supporting without cracks the deformations of the artifact during the clinical phase.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
64 words
Method for producing artificial aids suitable for use in vivo, of the type wherein a metal frame is covered with a covering layer of a non-porous, amorphous, refractory, insulating and biocompatible compound, characterised in that the said covering layer is applied in such a manner that its thickness is comprised between 100 A° and 0.5 11 and that therefore the said layer is deformable.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
37 words
Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the insulating biocompatible compound is taken from the group comprising alumina, glasses, derivatives of silica or quartz, apatites and derivatives thereof, oxides, nitrides and sulphides of aluminium, and carbons.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
24 words
Method according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the application of the covering layer is effected by reactive, radio-frequency or cathodic atomisation.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
65 words
Artificial aid usable in vivo, of the type wherein a metal frame is covered with a covering layer of a nonporous, amorphous, refractory, insulating, biocompatible compound, characterised in that the covering layer is deformable and of a thickness comprised between 100 A° and 0.5 11, in such a manner as to withstand without cracking the shaping of the aid and the deformations which it undergoes.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
65 words
Artificial aid usable in vivo, of the type wherein a metal frame is covered with a covering layer of a nonporous, amorphous, refractory, insulating, biocompatible compound, characterised in that the covering layer is deformable and of a thickness comprised between 100 A° and 0.5 11, in such a manner as to withstand without cracking the shaping of the aid and the deformations which it undergoes.
