Abstract

Abstract A urological resectoscope with a shaft and a cutting instrument which can be operated by a rod guided so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the shaft and fastened by its proximal end on a carriage mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the shaft, the carriage having a first handle with which it can be moved counter to the force of a restoring spring against a second handle fastened on the shaft by actuating the distal handle with the fingers and the proximal handle with the thumb of the same hand, at least the distal handle being designed with a periphery arranged essentially concentrically relative to the shaft, is characterised in that the distal handle is designed as a ring distally projecting over its radially inner mounting.
