Abstract
Abstract The method of dressing solid materials uses pressure water jets. Air is added to the water jet through a mixer chamber (5) at the mouth of the nozzle (7). The mixer (5) forms a funnel shaped hood (10) with an opening (8) in line (3) with the jet nozzle (7). There are air inlets (6, 11) at the side of the mixer (5) or alternative inlets (4, 13) at the end opposite the mouth (8) of the mixer (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - The effectiveness of the water jet is improved by the injection of air into the stream.
