Intracorporeal blood pump mounting with paracorporeal multiple coupling for the drive and control lines of a semi-internal or internal blood pump, and passage thereof through the human or animal chest wall
Abstract
Abstract The construction according to the invention is intended for fixation (fastening) of implantable blood pumps in the chest and for the exact, separable passage of the drive and control lines through the human chest wall in semi-internal blood pumps as are known, for example, from my OS DE 3602727. It mainly comprises a coupling half (6) which is fixed on the body and can be fastened in the human breastbone (1), and a free coupling half (5) which can be connected by screwing to the coupling half (6) fixed on the body via a screw bolt (8). The coupling half (6) fixed on the body is tightly connected to the implantable part of the blood pump (21) and is integrated in a pericardium substitute sac (17) which is to be foamed for exact adaptation to the pericardium of the recipient. This blood pump mounting permits reliable fixation (fastening) of implantable blood pumps, relieves the pericardium and blood vessels of the recipient in this way, leads to quick growing-in of the blood pump and avoids infections. <IMAGE>
