Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a threaded insert with an external thread, a conical bevel portion and radially running incisions at the insertion end. In the case of the thread pieces, in said threaded insert, behind each cutting-surface profile, the free surfaces are flattened. In order to increase the unscrewing torque in the case of such a threaded insert, the respective free surfaces of the thread pieces exhibit, at their end opposite the cutting-surface profile, a spacing from the axis of the threaded insert which is the same as the spacing of the free surface of the adjoining thread piece on the cutting-surface profile.
