Dowel with plastic sleeve

Abstract

Abstract The dowel (1) comprises a plastic sleeve (2) which carries a cutting body (3). The cutting body (3) projects beyond the end side of the plastic sleeve (2) in the insertion direction and further projects into the central bore (6) of the plastic sleeve (2), counter to the insertion direction. From the cutting-body-side end, the plastic sleeve (2) has, over part of its length, a helical profiling (4) for channelling away the drillings when drilling is being carried out. In order to produce a receiving bore, the drive tool (8), which provides the cutting body (3) with rotary movement via the driving device (11), projects into the plastic sleeve (2). <IMAGE>
