Abstract
Abstract Coolant supply to a dental instrument shaft (26) with an axial bore (22). A known cooling insert (27) for angular pieces (21) is provided with an additional bore (18) at right angles to the shaft axis. This leads coolant into an annular space (20) surrounding the shaft (26). The latter (26) has a radial perforation (23) with an undercut leading edge (24) which scoops the coolant into the axial bore (22) in the shaft (26). The coolant emerges at the working site from the shaft or tool. <IMAGE>
