Device for closing a tissue defect, for example a muscle perforation
Abstract
Abstract A device for closing a tissue defect, for example, a muscle perforation, having a shield which is guided toward the defect and is fixed to the tissue after removal of a capsule, is to be designed such that it can even be used in hollow organs where it permits reliable closure of a defect in the muscle tissue. For this, the shield (14) is designed as a disc having a flexible edge and is assigned at least two spring arms (21, 31) which can be transferred from an insertion position extending approximately in parallel with the probe axis (A) into a clamping position in which the spring arm ends of the disc are adjacent to each other. At the same time, the spring arms (21, 31) are to be free ends of helical springs (20) fixed to a probe head (11). <IMAGE>
