Jaw implant composed of an implant body and an epimobile attachment which can be screwed thereon and serves as an artificial stump for fastening of a denture part
Abstract
Abstract The jaw implant possesses an annular shoulder (2) and a female thread (3) on its implant body (1) in a blind hole (4) coaxial with the annular shoulder (2) for the screw-connection of an epimobile attachment (5) which serves as an artificial stump for fastening of a denture part, the attachment being supported via a spacer ring (6) against the annular shoulder (2). Two screws which each fit into the female thread (3), namely a space-maintaining screw and a retraction screw, come to bear sealingly with their screw heads on the annular shoulder (2) with the same outer diameter as the spacer ring (6). The screw head of the retraction screw has the same conical outer shape tapering towards the underside of the screw head as the spacer ring (6) and at least the axial height thereof. By contrast, the screw head of the space-maintaining screw has a lower and flat outer shape. The upper sides of the two screw heads are provided with surfaces to fit a spanner. <IMAGE>
