Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to an expanding dowel having an essentially cylindrical dowel body which is formed from sheet layers, arranged radially one upon the other, and into which a fastening element, acting as expanding body, can be driven or screwed. In order, in the case of said dowel, to permit a choice between a plurality of possible fastening points and, at the same time, a high drawing-out value of the dowel, the latter is designed such that the sheet layers have tooth-shaped or rib-shaped projections running in the circumferential direction. <IMAGE>
