Abstract

Abstract Device for uniformly discharging substances, esp. for providing a steady feed of an implanted substance into a human or animal body, comprises a reservoir, in which a monitoring outlet opening leads into a permeable sleeve or tube, esp. of silicone rubber. The device is intended for providing a steady feed of a chemical substance esp. liquid hydrocarbons or nicotine-based substances, into a human or animal over a period of several weeks. The vessel itself, which may be of glass, is completely impermeable to the liq. and therefore during normal storage there is no communication between the contents and the outside. The permeability of silicone rubber ensures a steady feed.
