Gas or liq. pipe connecting union - has section with clamping jaws fitting over threaded section
Abstract
Abstract The connecting union has clamping jaws at one end gripping the inserted pipe end and a threaded section at the other end. The set of jaws and the threaded portion are secured together by an annular bead on one section engaging in an annular groove in the other section a bore passing through both. The first section incorporating the jaws (1) fits over the threaded one (2). The annular bead (19) is preferably formed on the outside of the threaded section while the groove (15) is located on the first section inside periphery. The first section may abut the other section by a radial shoulder (14) while a sealing O-ring (22) may be inserted into a recess (21) formed into the second section face abutting the shoulder.
