Abstract

Abstract valve is implanted in 9 vein to replace defective natural valves. The valve is of appropriate diameter and acceptable material, and approximately the same flexibility as the vein. The valve is designed not to offer increased flow resistance in comparison with a natural valve. The valve is made of metal or plastics and has a tubular shape matching that of the vein itself.
