Nails feeder for nail-driving machine - places nail heads upwards underneath hammer head for good access
Abstract
Abstract The device for feeding nails to the nail driving machine (10) consists of two flat parallel discs (16) mounted on a central bolt. The gap between the discs is slightly greater than the diameter of the shanks of the nails. Each disc is provided with three pear shaped holes (14) with the holes of one disc aligned with the holes of the other disc. The discs are enclosed in conical end covers (21) with circular holes (30) for receiving the nails (15). The shanks (15') of the nails (15) fall into the gap between the discs and as the discs are rotated in a counter-clock-wise direction the nails (15) supported by their heads slide around the edges (19) of the pear-shaped holes and then into the chute (24) of the nail driving machine.
