Left ventricle movement representation method - is at a number of points using instantaneous values of movement at these points
Abstract
Abstract A two-dimensional diagram is plotted, with the position of the pt. on a reference axis plotted along one coordinate axis (X), and time (t) plotted along the other, with the movement value represented by a brightness value or colour hue, a function of its instantaneous value. The contour of the heart inner wall (1) is plotted along with the contour of the heart outer wall (2), dimensions being referenced as heart radial and diametral functions R(X), D(X), with the difference between the inner and outer walls having a separate reference W(X). Because of the expansions and contractions of the heart, the functions with respect to (X) are time dependent. The diagrams may be plotted as a series of functions F(Xt).
