Abstract

Abstract Flexible light conductor for transferring intensive radiation in near UV, and visible spectral range, i.e., wave length 0.28-0.7mu, consists of a light-conductive liquid in a flexible plastic hose, sealed tightly at both ends by 2 mainly cylindrical windows of dielectrical matl. The flexible plastic hose consists of a polymer built up entirely of C and F. The light-conductive liquid is either an inorg. aq. ionic soln. having a refractive index higher than that of the flexible plastic hose, or a simple organic liquid contg. only CH, C-C, C-OH and C-F bonds in molecule. The conductor is used in lighting, medicine, techniques for coagulation, tissue wastage and polymsn. Conductor resists damage by radiation and has high transmission capacity.
