Abstract
Abstract Sphygmomanometer cuff has an elastic surface, expansible on one side. A carrier part is radially elastically curved and axially dimensionally rigid, and has an air cushion hose on the inner side; the hose's elastic surface can expand only in one direction. Preferably the carrier part is multiple and divided axially by resiliently prestressed hinges, or has multiple telescoping parts, and is closable; it may form a permanently closed ring, and be of transparent and/or coloured material. The inlet diaphragms are hermetically passed through the hose and the carrier part, or trough, the latter outside the hose.
