Satellite transmission system for TV and radio - supplies certain ground area with signals received from ground station
Abstract
Abstract A satellite transmission system for radio and Tv is signals includes a ground station which beams its signals to the satellite which amplifies them and re-radiates them through its antenna to the ground area to be served. The signal frequency is transposed one, twice or several times in the satellite. The satellite position is coarsely stabilised, and its antenna or the beam is in addition finely stabilised. More than three stations (St1-St6) are distributed over the ground service area (F), each of which can transmit through the satellite (S). Each of them has equipment monitoring satellite sending power. A central evaluation station which receives the measurement results and derives a control signal, is preferably a station which can send signals to the satellite. The control signal is used for fine adjustment of the satellite antenna or its beam with an accuracy of 0.1 deg.
